About the Brand:
The first AtelierOM retail space, OM ARTS, opened in Goa, India in 2014, featuring apparel, accessories, and handwoven natural-fiber textiles block printed with natural dyes, alongside upcycled and vintage materials. In 2022, AtelierOM opened its USA showroom in Woodstock, New York and now since 2025, there is an appointment only Manhattan showroom in NYC.
Rooted in ethical stewardship, organic materials, and fair-trade principles, AtelierOM works closely with respected Artisan families and craft organizations, including Craftmark and Fair Trade Forum India, to preserve and evolve handmade textile traditions.
AtelierOM embraces “Slow Design” — consciously creating timeless textiles and garments meant to be worn, collected, and cherished for years to come.
About Founder & Designer:
Ondi McMaster is rooted by family in the philosophy of “HANDMADE” and her artistic backround naturally brought her to collaborate with her Artisan partners by preserving heritage textile traditions through a contemporary artistic lens.
Inspired by a three-month ARTKARAVAN residency across North India in 2010, Ondi began developing performative artworks and handcrafted garments using locally sourced handspun and handwoven textiles which led her to the founding of AtelierOM
A graduate of Mills College in Asian Studies and Fine Art, she blends Gandhian ideals, global craft traditions, and an extensive background in art and costume design into AtelierOM’s eco-conscious collections.
Since launching the first AtelierOM collection in 2011, Ondi has created evolving limited-edition textiles, apparel, scarves, and home goods using heritage techniques, natural dyes, organic fibers, and handcrafted fabrics — celebrating slow fashion, artistry, and timeless design.
